Following on from the sale of some 80,000 tonnes across three cargoes of raw sugar to Japanese trading company Toyota Tsusho in the past year, Sunshine Sugar last week hosted another visit from the Japanese buyer.
The party visited both the Condong and Harwood Mills and the Harwood Refinery, as well as taking in a farm tour at Broadwater and a BBQ lunch with local farmers.
Sunshine Sugar Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chris Connors commented; “Japan has very strict import restrictions on the quality of the raw sugar they import. The strong relationship we have forged with the Toyota Tsusho team has been built on our ability to consistently deliver a quality product that meets their requirements.”
