Harvest Best Practice

SRA has funded our industry to conduct a harvest best practice project. Project work commenced in 2014 with trials conducted to determine the effect of harvester speed on subsequent crop yields and also the effect of basecutter height on harvest losses. The scope or work and preliminary reports of the harvester speed and height trials are available below:

Whole crop harvest research

NSW Sugar has supported on-going research to improve the efficiency of whole crop harvest and transport. Projects were:
