Shared Labour Pool - a new way of working and employing
The North Coast Agricultural Shared Labour Pool matches farmers with skilled workers to fill casual short-term and seasonal work, across a range of agricultural sectors. The Pool comprises skilled workers with cultivation and production skills in planting, harvesting, chain-saw pruning, fertilising, tractor operation, machinery maintenance, sustainable farm practices and other skills for the modern farm.
The pool has been designed and developed by NSW Sugar and NSW Cane Growers Association, through the NSW Sugar Workforce Development Project, in conjunction with the Australian Macadamia Society, Main Camp Natural Extracts Pty Ltd and the Australian Tea Tree Industry Association.
