A 1800 phone service has been launched to give growers co-ordinated mill operation updates.
The message is updated regularly by senior mill staff and is aimed at providing information on stoppages and other issues. To use the service growers should call 1800 778 847.
A prompt will then ask callers to choose which brief mill message they require. Each mill has a separate message. The service is for growers only and is not available to the general public.
Prompts are:
1 = Harwood
2 = Broadwater
